Finally finished that asshole xmen legends level...the journey continues.

Vodstok 06-02-2008 08:29 AM

Started Doom 3 again. Playing with Godmode on. Why?

Because A. I'm a pussy with this game.
B. I played through 75% of the game before losing my saved games, and i am not trudging through all of that again. PLus it isnt really any less freaky in godmode.

Well, I finally got GTA IV today for the PS3.

Have installed the game, applied the patch. Now to wait until a bit later this evening for some "private time" to start playing.

urgeok2 06-05-2008 06:42 AM

still drumming to Rock Band (on easy)

tough game - it's hard to believe that there are levels higher than easy on this one.

made it through the tour (now doing the bonus tour)

Phalanx 06-05-2008 06:45 AM

Urg, I think you might want to invest in a copy of "Lego Indiana Jones".
Fun, very easy to pick up, some pretty good in-jokes and references, and some very nice 3d rendering. Just something I thought a dad could play with his kid - I think it's out on most systems now.

Freak 06-07-2008 12:29 PM

I think I'm going to replay this one pretty soon...awesome game, but way too short.

Have you played the sequel?

Phalanx 06-07-2008 10:23 PM

I haven't yet, but I've got it lined up to go...I got them both at bargain bin prices.
Might even grab ultimate alliance after if I get through both of 'em.
Hard at times, but a pretty good game.

Vodstok 06-09-2008 04:31 AM

FEAR: Extraction Point. Every bit as freaky and intense as the original game. Great horror timing and storytelling

Daedalus 06-11-2008 01:02 AM

Silent Hill 3

I got pissed off with Devil Mat Cr 3 so I started playing SH 3 again

Freak 06-11-2008 06:26 PM

Rented The Bourne Conspiracy and it's actually really fun.there's alot you can do with your character.Lots of different takedowns you can perform and the gameplay is really smooth.I usually hate movie based games but this is the best I've played so far.

ChronoGrl 06-15-2008 08:18 AM

Holy shit. I just beat BioShock.

As I thought, the final BigBad was kinda weak and disappointing... Then again, I was playing it on easy... I seriously feel as though it ended pretty quickly... I want more.

Can anyone suggest any games that are similar to BioShock?

Daedalus 06-15-2008 12:29 PM

Silent Hill 2

I'm in the process of trying to beat "Rule of Rose" but damn hat game is difficult

if you're talking about shooter-rpg mixes, i'd suggest either of the Deus Ex games

last played game:
Crackdown
what a fucking blast. HIGHLY recommended,

And the System Shock games. If you liked Bioshock at all you owe to yourself to AT LEAST play System Shock 2.

Amalthea_unicorn 06-20-2008 01:39 AM

Pacman and E.T. for Atari emulator

What despare said. the same guys that made Bioshock made system shock and ss2, and bioshock was made to be an upgraded not-really-a-sequal-but-sort-of to the ss series.

if you want sheer freakiness and dont mind pure fps with a strong story and fucking horrifying moments, i HIGHLY recommend F.E.A.R. I am playing the expansion Extraction Point right now, and it actually has managed to surpass the original game is the "Holy shit" category. I just turned it off and was scared shitless on a bright, sunny day.

I actually feel relief turning the game off.

urgeok2 06-20-2008 07:15 AM

i put Gears of War in for a few minutes .. got killed immediately.

looks like a much harder game than halo

Dante'sInferno 06-21-2008 11:59 AM

Been watching someone play "I wanna be the Guy".Funny as hell.I want it!

Freak 06-21-2008 11:46 PM

Lego Indiana Jones

It's alot more fun than the lego Star Wars games and whip swinging is really fun.

i have to admit i like the star wars more ... cant put my finger on why

urgeok2 06-22-2008 03:12 PM

Rock Band

well, i'm a better singer than a drummer apparently ...

i get 90% on Dont Fear the Reaper - Expert level :D

(i know - it's an easy song)

The_Return 06-22-2008 05:08 PM

Fucking X-Men Legends still...stupid-ass nuclear plant.

Vodstok 06-22-2008 05:13 PM

Just beat FEAR: Extraction Point. the final scene was not as "OH FUCK!" as the original game, but true to form, the last 20 minutes are gut wrenching terror. i HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who played the original, and if you havent, get FEAR and Extraction point, and play them back to back. the story is engrossing as hell, the scares are genuinely freaky, and it is one of the best horrors out there, in any medium.

I just got it for Wii yesterday....I've been playing drums for 23 years... and I'm already playing drums on the Hard level....it's very similar to the real thing.

i've always loved the drums but my respect has grown since playing rock band.

i'm getting by on medium - usually in the 90% range ... but i'm having a tough time with the kick because of my messed up knee.

Freak 06-27-2008 11:43 PM

The Spiderwick Chronicles-mildy fun,very mildly

Battlefield: Bad Company-Was really let down by this one. While the graphics are good the gameplay just isnt what you would expect. It's very repetative and the controls are a little off.

I just rented Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. It's not that bad. I dig their 1970's shit and it's not all Aerosmith songs.

Daedalus 06-30-2008 01:23 AM

I'm playing "Rule of Rose"

I had to start over again because it got complicated and I didnt think it through

Geddy 06-30-2008 06:36 AM

It's $169 US.So save up, i guess. But it's fun as hell.Played it with my cousin and loved it.

Freak 07-02-2008 09:23 PM

I liked it at first but got burnt out on it real quick.I think it may have something to do with me playing guitar Hero so much before plus I cant play the drums for to long without getting uncomfortable.

The Mothman 07-03-2008 06:56 PM

Mass Effect.
Shooter-RPGs are the greatest things on earth. this game is sweet. I have this guy in my squad right now. needless to say he's a bad ass.

I didn't care for Mass Effect that much.Just seemed to be real dull and boring.
