RESULTS OF THE LATEST SHOOTOUT IN ROUND 8 OF THE HUNTING SEASON
The gates are opened and two very satisfied groups - The Vampires and The Werewolves walk back in. Evidently they had a great outing from the look on their faces. Since 3 of them were doing the shooting, the others enjoyed the kills. And now come the Zombies, ragged, full of dirt and scratched and wounded...3 of them... WHAT THE...?! This means that... For the first time in HDC Battle Royale so far, 2 contestants have been killed in The Zone!!! The medics team run in to check on the bodies...let's see what they bring back... |

The Timeline of Hunting in ROund 8
The first REAL odd occurrence was - there were NO gifted Health Packs given out! Each Zombie was in there on his/her own! - Vampire ChronoGrl took a short detour and confronted Zombie Alkytrio666, and before he could turn around and run, BLASTED 2 rockets rapidly one after the other into him. She threw her rocket launcher away quickly and grabbed her six-shooter, and emptied 4 bullets in quick succession into Alky's back before his body disappeared behind the bushes. That was 14 bullets worth wounds, Alky had 18 HPs with him, and treated himself. He was still fit with 4 HPs. He found himself a rather large boulder and tucked himself behind it. Unfortunately, the blood trail he left behind brought ChronoGrl smelling blood with real malice in her eyes straight to him. BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! went the shotgun. 4 shells straight into Alky, who ran for his life from there...his already weak body thudded from behind. He ran into a cave, and treated his new wounds. He was FIT again, but had no more HPs!! ChronoGrl found his hideout...and went in... She stood in front of Alky, who had no HPs left... Alky yelled... ChronoGrl roared... 4 more shots from her shotgun blazed through the darkness of the cave!! Alky had one hand out, in sheer desperation...and slowly slumped down... The Zombie they call Alkytrio666...is DEAD!! (Sorry Zombies...and sorry Alky, you have been shot to death, and so out of HDC Battle Royale) What happened next was... |

- Werewolf Urgeok2 went in very calmly into The Zone, found himself a very high tree, and climbed up. He then surveyed the area and sat back with smug satisfaction...watching ChronoGrl take Alky out.
Just then, Zombie Cactus ran out below the tree, and ahead. Urgeok2 licked his lips, and quietly picked up the rocket launcher. Careful and perfect aim from behind Cactus, he zeroed in and locked his target, and FIRED!! Both rockets in succession!! Cactus didn't realise till the last minute...and before he could duck, felt the impact on his back...the blast carrying his body forward inside some bushes. Urgeok2 smiled maniacally... Cactus quickly treated his wounds with the 18 HPs he had, and was FIT with 8 HPs. He then made a dash for it. Urgeok2 sighed, and cantered back down from the tree. He made a careful observation of Cactus's path and started to sidetrack him. Soon enough, he was within shooting range. Urgeok2 took his six-shooters out, each armed with 5 bullets, and FIRED!! He emptied both revolvers into Cactus's back... Cactus was shot 10 times in rapid succession!! He fell down...and staggered. Somehow picking himself up, he went behind a tree and treated himself to his own HPs. 8 of em. He ran out of HPs...but thankfully, he was ALIVE, although Wounded. He found Massacre Man and both of them holed out in some unknown area, safe from further attacks, and made it back without any further damage. Cactus is alive, but Wounded, and without any HPs. |
- Vampire Austin put his cowboy hat on and walked into The Zone, carrying his shotgun loaded with 8 shells.
He knew who was going to be his target, and he had revenge on his mind (for his dear friend, Gorephobia). Zombie Elvis had found a nice place near the river, behind some huge rocks, and was nervously singing a song to himself...an old tune...maybe a song of Hank Williams Sr... His constant nervous humming filtered through the air... Austin's ears twitched. He walked forward. Elvis heard nothing, and saw nothing. Nervously scanning the area from behind the rock...he noticed nothing. Because... Austin had crossed the river somewhere downstream, and was on the other side... He came up from behind Elvis...and lay down...shotgun rested on his shoulder... Austin took careful aim, and FIRED!! 6 shells in rapid succession!! Elvis didn't have a chance to even move, and six shells came whistling into him! He was thrown forward, but managed to crawl out of sight somehow... Austin got up, and walked forward determinedly. Elvis treated himself with his 3 HPs...he was alive, but Severely Wounded. He kept crawling, dragging his body along...trying to lose Austin. But... Austin was there... Elvis stopped crawling, and turned... Austin stood over him, shotgun aimed directly at Elvis's face... Elvis tried to speak, but only a hoarse croak came out of his bloody mouth... Austin spoke, quietly, "Is this familiar? This is what I call...poetic justice." Elvis's eyes were filled with sudden terror... Austin fired...his last 2 shells, and blasted Elvis's face apart!! He then threw his empty shotgun away, and walked into the setting sun...towards the gates... Elvis Christ's body was a mess, from all the damage endured. Elvis...IS DEAD! (all radio stations can broadcast that all over again) (Sorry Elvis, Austin has spoken...and taken you out...you are DEAD, and so, OUT of HDC Battle Royale) I will let The Zombies mourn their comrades...before updating further... |

If a guess turns out to be correct, that winner will be the specific target of the Predator's plasma gun's one shot. Which is equivalent to 15 bullets worth damage. Hunting Season just got a whole new meaning. |

I welcome all 5 groups - The All-Star Zombies, The Stealthy Reapers, The Immortal Vampires, The Raging Werewolves and The Blazing Demons - to your NINTH Battle Royale Challenge. Since Zombies are 2 short, random contestants of 4 other groups sit out this Challenge. They are - Reapers Zero and Posher778, Vampires Roderick Usher & Austin316426808, Werewolves Urgeok2 & Despare, and Demon Psycom5K. The rest of you are required to tell me the superstitions sorrounding these very common things of our daily life :
There are 150 points up for grabs in the above challenge. The deadline for sending your entries ends on Friday, 19th April at Midnight EST. You may either send me your entries via PMs, or you may email me at ravenavi@gmail.com, mentioning your HDC Nick in the Subject alongwith the Challenge number, for e.g., "__V__ - HDC Battle Royale Challenge #9 Answers." You can confer with the other members of your new groups about the answers, but EACH CONTESTANT IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THEIR OWN ENTRIES. The only group which scores the maximum points wins.
