Recently beat The Last of Us. Great game.
Now I'm playing Assassins Creed IV |
Batman: Arkham Origins
Good game with some technical issues here and there but enough to really drag the game down. There were moments of deja vu but the last 40 minutes or so were really well done. |
Assasin's Creed III
|
Saints Row IV. Great game. I completed the main storyline, side quests, and virtually all the other side stuff.
|
A few new games I've been going through.
Call of Duty Ghosts - By far the worst in the series. Everything about the multiplayer is broken. Saints Row IV - Nothing really special about this one. Good to kill some time. Assassins Creed IV Black Flag - I was pleasantly suprised with this entry of the series. Massive open world to explore and the naval battles are fun as hell. |
"Farcry 3" PS3
Nice sandbox game. Only problems are that the gameplay is a little repetitive and that i really suck at first-person shooters. |
Silent Hill 4 for the PC. I will beat this game someday!
|
Still checking out "Saints Row 4".
Pretty meh. All the missions are just "go here, break this" the storyline is over the top yet pretty weak at the same time. It's a decent time killer, that's about all IMO. Also, the vehicles are pretty much superfluous. |
Path of Exile
great Diablo-like dungeon crawler that rises far above Diablo 3 in quality. Also free to play on steam! |
Kingdom Hearts (PS2)
|
"Assassins Creed: Black Flag" PS3
About 5 hours in. So far it's been more or less the same as AC3. |

I remember thinking it would be a bit like an FF type title, perhaps a bit more user-friendly. Nice looking, playing a cartoon more or less. I'm now finished with Saints 4. While it was a bit of fun, the story based content was essentially terrible. The humour was there, but nothing stopped this from feeling like the grindy ad-on that it was originally intended to be. Boss fight was "ok", the real-world missions were a bit of fun. The "good" ending was kinda cool, though a bit superfluous, I actually preferred the resolution to the "bad" ending I watched later. Like, it's not a bad game...it's just not a step in the right direction in my mind. I've moved onto LEGO Marvel. Hm. It's a Lego game...aside from the first star-wars one that I liked a fair bit, and admittedly the Harry Potter ones were pretty well done...these have been a bit run of the mill. "Break everything". I like this one alright. HUGE unlockable character roster, I'm 4 lvls in, and I haven't even got past the tip of the iceberg there. I like the open world and the mini-quest addition. Mapping system easy to get around which was a major failing in the last batman one... I think I'm enjoying this largely out of my former and present inundation with marvel material. I love the universe, the characters are fun, I like running into things and people I recognise. This game does rather have me longing for a new "Ultimate Alliance" type game though, maybe one day.. |
I finally got Corpse Party on PSP. I watched the intro and it looks like it's going to be good. I want to play it right at night connected to speakers so I'll probably get into it in a few weeks.

Playing Batman: Arkham Origins
|
Alan Wake
|
I just started playing Divi Dead. I'm really excited for this one. This game is a horror based Japanese Eroge game translated to English much like Corpse Party. I had never heard of it before recently, but apparently this title is often credited for being one of the games to start an interest in adult games outside of Japan. If any of you are interested in playing this title then you can get it HERE.

Diablo III on the PS3... Because there aren't a lot of multi-player games that the hubby and I can play from the same console... Ehhhhhh - It's like Diablo II... Except on the PS3...
|
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. I am a big history buff, but am not really that interested in the Golden Age of Piracy. With that being said, the story, so far seems pretty good, although I am not far into the game. I can't say I love all the ship stuff. I think I am a "land lover"... lol.
|
Lately I have been playing a good deal of XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Thus far I think it is an excellent game that really satisfies my love of strategy gaming, especially considering how barren that genre has been of late.
|
Just started Sleeping Dogs and got into Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds a little. Both fun games but not what I'm looking for right now. Splatterhouse or Lollipop Chainsaw tonight after "Psych" night with friends probably.
|
Rust
this is the future of video games. its still in alpha but I urge you to play it. initially highly frustrating but you will get the hang of it. Any fans? |

I'll tell you what I think of Lollipop.
Probably that guys worst game...to me it was boring, linear all all fuck, the combat wasn't in any way enjoyable, and it was just...more like a chore to play. I wouldn't even bother with it again as a time killer. I recently got into "Binary Domain". Killing lots of robots. Decent cutscenes. Some quite good boss fights against some interestingly designed opponents, and hm...average dialogue. It's VERY Sega. Almost like you're playing an arcade game with more depth. I mean it's essentially a cover based shooter, nothing much more, but I'm enjoying it very much. Nice and shiny looking too. At the price it's currently selling at, got mine for $12, it's certainly worth a look. |
I went with neither of games I mentioned and started Tomb Raider instead. I'm impressed... it's the first Tomb Raider game I've enjoyed.
|
Started "Stalker" finally.
Though, personally I wasn't really satisfied with how it played on my machine, so I fucked it off. An FPS needs to run flawlessly for me, and I do not need any screen tear whatsoever when I'm turning around. My machine was more'n powerful enough to handle it...but yeah, multiple resolutions later, and still, no good. Almost good enough, but...no. Had a quick look at Trine today, that runs well. Nice looking game. |
"Arcania: The Complete Tale" PS3
A standard RPG game. |
Quote:
The reviews were correct. That's a bad RPG. To quote a reviwer: "A great fantasy RPG should immerse you completely into its virtual world, making you truly believe in the mysterious realms around you. A great fantasy RPG should compel you to the point that you want to speak to every character in order to learn intricate secrets both pivotal and unrelated to the game's plot, and should encourage you to search under every rendered rock in pursuit of ancient artefacts, scrolls, and misplaced health potions. A great fantasy RPG should allow you to battle your way through the main campaign, completing side-quests along the way. Arcania: The Complete Tale is not a great fantasy RPG.". Amen. |
I regularly play:
Marvel Heroes (Mostly as Ms Marvel, who kicks ass, my daughter plays as Hulk) Borderlands 2 (Level 61 Siren and Level 50 Assassin) Left 4 Dead 2 |
"Persona 3" PS3
This is by many (Peobably mostly japanese people) called the best jrpg to date. Gotta say, I'm not loving it. Altho it has a nice dark feel to it it's just way too triviel for me to really enjoy. You just do the same things day after day and the few times you don't it gets REALLY boring. Long ass dialogue as well. The story is pretty interesting tho which helps a little. So far it's just a 6-7/10 for me. Bought "Borderlands 2" a couple of months ago. I think i almost hate this game. First off, there's way too many enemies popping up all the time (Especially during the missions) which makes the gameplay very stressful and tiresome. Second, for the first many, many MANY hours you're just up against the same enemies in the same inviroment as the first game. That's just a ripoff in my book, as it just feels like a huge expansion pack for the first game. Third, I play as the Assassin and omg does he suck. His skill: to disappear for 5 seconds. What can you do in 5 seconds? Well, I can do absolutely fucking nothing. Don't think i'm gonna finish this game. |
It takes time. I never played 1 so it was all new for me. I put in an easy 30 hours in the first 2 weeks. Also, Zer0 is eventually pretty kick ass, but I would recommend Maya. The siren is a godamn god(ess).
