jesus - gilligans island was a terrible show.

i guess its getting votes because it was the fist cleavage most of the guys here remember seeing ? it cant be anything else

I think even as a young boy I realized how cheesy Gilligan was....and that was its appeal.

even as a kid - the limits placed by being on the island drove me nuts.

they even started doing dream sequence episodes because they ran out of things to do.


to this day I refer to any show with limitations/restrictions due to the show's setting that eventually cause the demise of the program to be Gilligans Island Syndrome

i didnt think the comedy was good - at all...



The Beverly Hillbillies is one of my favorite comedies - also not meant to be taken seriously - i just think the comedy was so much better written and performed.

Gilligan's Island had a world of superior guest stars, though. Phil Silvers performing Hamlet: the Musical solo? Awesome.

Gilligan: Skipper, should I pick the yellow bananas or the red bananas, because the yellow bananas are green.
Skipper Jonas Grumby: Then pick the red ones.
Gilligan: But the red ones are pink.
Skipper Jonas Grumby: Gilligan, I don't care if you pick red white and blue bananas, just pick some bananas!
Gilligan: Okay, Skipper... Blue bananas?

That's comedy gold right there ;)
