LOL. I'm actually ashamed to say that I thought it looked cute, and might actually want to see it myself. I'm REALLY ashamed.

I've said it before, but I really hate Vin Diesel. Like, a lot.

Hey, just finished watching it. I loved it. It was visually really beautiful to look at. I was seriously tense the whole time...I was always waiting for something to jump out;)

I was also really impressed at how well the film holds up, even today. I wasn't disappointed at all:)

alkytrio666 06-27-2005 09:45 PM

Dog Soldiers.

Good, pretty darn good. Luckily Urge warned me not to over-psych myself, because as I found, it wasn't godly as I was starting to get the impression. But it was very enjoyable.

I saw on Netflix you watched Bram Stoker's Shadowbuilder - how was it?

movieman64 06-28-2005 08:11 AM

I really liked it. Michael Rooker is great. I think it is a straight to video movie, but it's well worth it, already ordered me a copy.

bloodrayne 06-28-2005 09:49 AM

We just watched Hellboy for the first time...Not bad...

BH14 06-28-2005 10:09 AM

Saw "The Blob" (1988) last night.... Its the good 80s horror movies back in the day. You always have the bad ass with the leather jacket and mullet, jock, pretty girl, etc......Yea, its bit corny sometimes but I still liked it. The killings were pretty cool..... I thought the special effects were great for an 80s movie. The plot was good as well.

Its good to see "real blob" being used back then.... instead of CGI. The real blob back then looked much more realistic than if they were to use today's CGI blob. I still wonder how they made so much blob and what the hell was that they used?! Check it out if you havent.

This type of movie can be re-made again bc all of the characters are replaceable and I would think real blob and a mixture of CGI blob could make this movie look awesome.

Kinski's Ghost 06-28-2005 12:05 PM

Over the weekend I watched:

SKINNED DEEP
DEAD BIRDS
DEMENTED (1980)
BRUTE FORCE (It's not horror but it's a pretty kick ass film noir.)

Dante'sInferno 06-28-2005 01:13 PM

Land of the Dead-Bleh

The Longest Yard-8.5 out of 10

land was a giant let-down to me,but it was ok...

I always thought it was cool how they called it a sanction.

Timeline

Meh, wasnt that bad. Full of plot holes, and whoever wrote it made the characters friggin idiots...but it was still Ok. I could think of worse ways to kill 2 hours.

I'm trying to watch Casshern... I can't get into it, even at the third attempt.

Vodstok 06-29-2005 10:03 AM

Watched Radio last night. it was an "inspirational" movie that didnt suck, it was actually quite good.

Cuba Gooding Jr (someone i have always liked) and Ed Harris (i would let him be my second dad in a heartbeat, i love ed harris....) kicked ass.

Just got finished watching "Black Hawk Down" on the projector. I don't know why these things aren't selling like hot cakes. For the money compared to a big screen TV....they can't be beat.
